Welcome to Beasley Photography’s Online Proofing!
I hope you enjoy viewing your proofs online! Each client has a separate gallery with a password. Feel free to give your password to family and friends. Your gallery is designed so that other people can leave comments.
Your gallery will be posted for several months. Please contact me if you want to reorder pictures and your gallery has been removed. I can repost your proofs free of charge.
How to decide which pictures to order:
When choosing the pictures you want to order, look for the angles, expressions, and poses which look most flattering for you. Ultimately, ask yourself: “Which shot is most unique?” “In which shot do I look the prettiest?” “What will stand out among the other contestants in the program book?” “Does this picture reflect the image I want to represent as a titleholder?”
These images are raw, thus no retouching has yet been done. Ignore blemishes, flaws, and stray hairs. These things will be taken care of in the retouching. If there is something that really bothers you about an image, do not hesitate to ask if it can be fixed in the retouching.
As stated on the signed contract: All prints ordered MUST be retouched. Do NOT ask if you can have an image printed that has not been retouched. The retouching makes the picture “pageant quality.” Obviously, a close headshot requires more retouching than a full length shot, thus there is a different price for retouching non-headshots.
When possible, I try to list my favorite images in your comment box. I quickly go through each image and choose the ones that jump out to me. I do not study them at length, but go with my first impression.
Take into consideration that any image can be cropped in tighter, or at a more interesting angle.
Important Information to Consider:
Any picture can be converted into black and white at no extra charge. The retouch fee covers the conversion. You may want to order the same picture in color and black and white. Simply write on your order form if you would like a final print to be in black and white.
All final prints will be glossy, unless you request matte. There is no extra charge for a matte print. Please indicate on the order form if you would like matte.
If you are ordering physical pictures to be turned into a pageant, make sure you know exactly what the pageant requires. Do you need color or black and white? Wallets or 5x7? Can you simply email an image?
If you are entering a pageant that has a separate photogenic competition which requires you to turn in a physical picture, I HIGHLY recommend turning in an 8x10 or 8.5x11. These are standard sizes to be competitive.
How to Place Your Picture Order:
Once you have decided on your order, fill out the picture order form. Mail it back to me with your check. I do not like to take orders over the phone.
Once I receive your order, you will go on the list of clients to be retouched. The number of orders I have in front of you will determine how long it will take to receive your prints. Thus, DO NOT wait several weeks to order your prints. To insure you will receive your pictures before your deadline, please order within two weeks of receiving your proofs. If you wait to order until two weeks before your deadline, I do not ensure you will receive them in time. Keep in mind, if you are competing in a state pageant, I will have several clients whose pictures are all due on the same day. Avoid the Rush!!
Once I am finished retouching your images, I will EMAIL you a retouched proof to make sure it is exactly how you want it before it is printed and shipped. If there is something that you do not like, I will try to fix it. Thus, you will know exactly how it will look. (Remember, all monitors are not color calibrated the same. Images may appear lighter or darker on your monitor. However, my monitor is color calibrated to match my lab.) Once I get the approval from you, I will send the images to the lab. You will receive them via FedEx in a couple of days.
If you have any questions, do not hesitate to call or email me!
Thanks! Good Luck!
